If your smile needs a little extra attention to get back into shape, we can help! We offer a number of restorative treatments to cover chips and cracks, replace missing teeth, and much more.
When we detect signs of decay or find a cavity, we may recommend the placement of a filling. At Signature Smiles Family Dentistry, we place tooth-colored composite fillings, which are smaller than traditional silver fillings. They also look more natural, meaning your smile looks good in addition to feeling great.
Crowns & Bridges
We place dental crowns – also called “caps” – to cover chips and cracks in teeth. Crowns can be fabricated to match the shade of your surrounding teeth, so they will look natural in your mouth. They can also add strength to teeth that have been weakened by grinding, root canal therapy, or decay. Patients who have a small gap in their smile caused by missing teeth could benefit from a dental bridge. A bridge is secured to either side of a gap using crowns. A false tooth, or teeth, is connected to the bridge to fill in the gap created by missing teeth.
If you’re missing most or all of your teeth, dentures can help you get back to eating your favorite foods, and talking and smiling with confidence again. Advancements in materials have made dentures feel more comfortable and look more natural than ever before.
Root Canal Therapy
Pain in a tooth or deep in your gums could indicate an infection in a tooth. In order to save your tooth, we may recommend root canal therapy to eliminate the infection. Root canals sound scary and painful, and bring up images of drills, but root canal therapy is actually very gentle. We also provide relaxing sedation to keep you comfortable throughout the treatment. During a root canal, your doctor will remove the infected tooth pulp from inside the tooth. The tooth is then filled and sealed to keep out bacteria. Finally, a crown is placed on top of the tooth to prevent future infection and provide extra strength.
We provide a variety of oral surgery options to patients at Signature Smiles Family Dentistry. From dental implants to tooth extractions, we’ll make sure that your treatment plan works for your health and your wallet. Dental Implants in Streetsboro
Do you find yourself covering your smile because your missing teeth embarrass you? Don’t give up on your smile! Dental implants could restore your smile and help you regain your confidence. Drs. Omar and Issa Salameh are trained in all phases of implantology, so we can take care of most of your implant needs right here in our Streetsboro dental office.
What are Dental Implants?
Our team uses dental implants to replace one or more missing teeth. An implant consists of a titanium screw placed into the jawbone and a restoration placed on top of the screw. Titanium is a biocompatible material that fuses with the bone to create a strong and solid anchor for the restoration that is placed on top. For single-tooth implants, our team will typically place a crown on top of the implant. The crown is a strong and durable material that can be fabricated to match the shade of your surrounding teeth. Once the crown is in place, your implant will look, feel, and function exactly like your natural teeth, and you’ll be back to smiling with confidence and eating your favorite foods.
Benefits of Dental Implants
- Preferred Method of Tooth Replacement
- Preserve the Shape of Face & Jaw
- Prevent Bone Loss that Naturally Happens with Missing Teeth
- Look, Feel, & Function like Natural Teeth
- Last for Years with Proper Care
If you’re missing multiple teeth, we may recommend a dental bridge, or even implant-supported dentures. A bridge connects to crowns on either side of a gap, and a false tooth (or teeth) “bridges” the gap created by your missing tooth. A bridge is often a more comfortable – and affordable – way to replace a few missing teeth than a complete denture.

Our dentists in Streetsboro may recommend implant-supported dentures if you are missing many or most of your natural teeth. Denture stabilization through dental implants gives you a denture that fits securely, doesn’t slip or irritate your gums or cheeks, and functions much more like natural teeth.
To begin with, our team places four small implants, called mini dental implants (MDIs) into the arch that needs teeth replaced. We can place MDIs in your upper or lower jaw, or in both. The tops of the implants have a small ball joint that lines up with holes our lab drills into your denture. Once the implants have fused with your jawbone, you’ll be able to easily “click” your denture into place over these ball joints, resulting in a secure-fitting denture.

Dental Implant Preparation
Prior to the placement of implants, we sometimes need to prep the jawbone to give the new implant a better foundation.
Bone grafting is a surgical procedure used when the jawbone isn’t high enough, wide enough, or both. We essentially “build up” the bone by grafting (adding) bone or bonelike materials to the jaw. Once the bone grafting is complete, we give the area a few months to heal and to allow the new material to fuse to your jawbone. Then we begin the implant placement process.
Sinus lift surgery may be required if the space between your jaw and the maxillary sinuses (located on either side of your nose) isn’t large enough. We use bone or bonelike material to add space to the area and allow for an implant to be placed eventually. After several months, the new material will fuse with your existing bone, and we can place your implants.
Ridge preservation is a type of bone graft that sits in place of a newly extracted tooth. Oftentimes, if a tooth needs to be extracted, we cannot immediately place an implant. We use a ridge preservation graft to hold the place of your missing tooth while the bone has time to heal and create high-quality live bone, the best type of bone for an implant. Typically, we wait 3-6 months after the ridge preservation graft is placed before placing your dental implant.

Are you looking to give your smile a little boost, and give your confidence a boost along with it? Our cosmetic dentistry services can brighten, whiten, and straighten your teeth to give you the smile of your dreams!
Six Month Smiles® Cosmetic Braces
If you want to get a straighter, more attractive smile but can’t stand the thought of wearing clunky metal braces for years, we have the answer. Six Month Smiles adult braces straighten the teeth that show when you smile, so they work fast and give you dramatic results.
Six Month Smiles braces use thin, high-tech wires and tooth-colored brackets to gently move your teeth into more perfect positions. The average treatment time is only 6-9 months, so you could have a straighter smile before your next cleaning!
Porcelain Veneers & Snap-on Smiles®
Do you have teeth that are cracked or chipped? A large gap between your front teeth? Veneers can help give you a beautiful smile that you love to show off.
Veneers are thin sheets of durable porcelain that are bonded to the front sides of teeth to change their shape, size, or color. They can cover cracks and chips, close up gaps, and even whiten teeth that are too discolored for professional whitening treatments. The porcelain can be dyed to match the shade of surrounding teeth, or to give the teeth that show when you smile a whiter color.
Applying veneers requires that we remove some enamel from the front of your teeth in order to properly bond the veneers. You should be prepared for a dramatic and permanent change to your smile.
Want a non-permanent and more affordable way to change your smile? Try a Snap-On Smile on for size! We’ll custom design and fabricate a new smile for you that you simply “snap” into place over your teeth. Change your smile in virtually any way you can dream of with Snap-On Smile!
Whitening your teeth can be time consuming. If you need a brighter smile fast, our in-office teeth whitening treatment can provide you with a beautifully white smile in only one hour.
