We fix infected teeth

If you have any of the symptoms above, you may need root canal treatment. But what are root canals? They’re two things. Root canals are the narrow channels in your tooth roots that hold the nerves and blood vessels. The procedure used to heal infections in this area is also known as a root canal. If you have a cavity, it can usually be treated with a filling. If the decay reaches the tooth roots and infects the living tissues inside, a filling isn’t adequate. At Signature Smiles Dental, we rehabilitate a tooth instead of removing it with root canals in Streetsboro and Elyria, OH.

Our team is empowered by decades of combined experience and advanced training in endodontics, the dental specialty dedicated to treating the inside of teeth. We’re also sensitive to any concerns you may have about undergoing root canals, which we call nerve infection therapy. Through a combination of expertise, sedation options, and our own compassionate approach, we can make your root canal treatment 100% anxiety free. We guarantee it.

Friction-free root canals

Every time you visit our office, our priority is to make you feel comfortable. That’s why we offer convenient evening and weekend hours so you don’t have to rearrange your schedule. We also offer a relaxing environment to help put you at ease. For procedures, we also offer sedation services to keep you pain- and stress-free. With options including IV sedation and oral sedation, we can put you in a sleeplike state for your procedure. You won’t feel anything, nor will you be aware you’re undergoing treatment—so there’s nothing to fear! Afterward you’ll have no memory of the procedure.

After you’re sedated, we’ll access the pulp chamber inside the infected teeth through the crown. We remove all the living tissue and then disinfect, widen, and reshape the root canals. We then fill the empty root canals with a material called gutta-percha to reinforce them. Lastly, we fit a new dental crown on top of each of the affected teeth—carefully matching the color of surrounding teeth—so they can remain strong for many years to come. After your treatment your tooth pain and sensitivity will subside, and you’ll be able to enjoy a normal daily life again!

Lose your pain, not your tooth

We’ll save it with a stress-free root canal.
